Aegis X issues

So my parents sent me a used Aegis X to have for christmas cause my old mod got screwed up. They told me I had to update some firmware or something but when it arrived the screen work perfectly fine with no problems. Then it started cutting out and not working at all unless I plugged it into something and now its firing but the screen is not displaying anything just brightening up slightly, sometimes it would show black and white lines with static but thats it.
