Eleaf iJust D20 Review

Battery Size: 1500mAh
Pod size: 2ml
Output wattage: 30W Max

Eleaf has paired simplicity with impressive performance in the the iJust D20 which comes in a multitude of sleek and metallic colours. The cylindrical exterior features just a fire button and a USB-C charging port and its small size makes it ideal for when you’re out and about. The 1,500 mAh battery gave me enough power for a full day’s moderate vaping and the fast-charging time was definitely a bonus.

With a maximum power output of 30W, there are three power options, each accessed by three presses on the fire button. Low, medium and high power settings are shown by red, blue and green respectively. I enjoyed vaping most when using the highest power output as the hit was far better than I had expected.

The 2ml TPD-compliant tanks were easily filled via a hole revealed under a sliding mechanism on the top of the tank itself. As a heavy vaper, I found I had to refill it about twice a day. The magnetic tank sits flush on the top of the device and there was minimal rattling, something that is obviously a massive plus. Airflow is fully adjustable via a rotating ring near the top of the device and the kit boasted a choice of a RDL or MTL vaping experience.

The iJust D20 also accommodates a few different GTL coil options (both the 1.2ohm and 0.8ohm coils are included with the kit) with each offering a different type of inhale. I found that this device worked best with thinner e-liquids and is also ideal for mouth-to-lung vaping. I paired the 1.2ohm coil with some 20mg nicotine salts and the result completely blew me away. The flavour was intense and I found a real boost to the fruity elements of my chosen e-liquid. Longevity on the 1.2ohm coils were decent and I had no issues with leaking or condensation, even during a brief heatwave (heat can cause e-liquids to thin and therefore increase the risk of leaking). The coils were super easy to install as they are just pushed into the base of the tank, without the need to screw or unscrew the coil head.

Having a low price point, the Eleaf iJust D20 has an RRP of around £22.99, making it an affordable and well-performing starter kit. Due to the iJust D20’s simplicity, I feel like its target audience would mainly be new vapers or for smokers looking to cut down on their cigarette consumption, as well as its compatibility with high-strength nicotine e-liquids.

PROS

Straightforward to use
No leaking
USB-C fast charging
Three different power outputs

CONS

It looks a little standard for pen-style devices
