Ever buy or get sold vape stuff that was for the incorrect application?

I was excited to get get some new coils today, went to the closest vape store. They didn’t have many coils there. The guy was really nice, but both of us didn’t really seem to know what type of coil I was trying to find. I use a sub ohm, my preference seems to be .3 ohms at 55watts. He sold me a roll of some fused clapton 28ga*2+32ga wire. I don’t even know what that means, and some premade coils of the same gauge.
